Biography
Joining the firm in 2025, Katie is a distinguished associate and valued member of the team at Weiss Zarett Brofman Sonnenklar & Levy, PC. Her primary area of specialization revolves around providing invaluable support to the Firm’s litigation and business law practices, where she adeptly manages a diverse range of commercial matters in the context of litigation. In the course of her professional journey, Katie has garnered substantial knowledge in art and intellectual property law, artificial intelligence, business-to-business matters, insurance-related issues and contract law. Katie brings specialized experience in representing businesses, artists, art galleries, art advisors and other creatives in an array of legal matters from contract and insurance disputes to litigation.
Katie’s academic foundation is marked by her attainment of a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, with a specialized focus in Journalism, which she earned from Marist College in 2018. During her time at Marist, she also earned a Paralegal Certificate, ultimately leading to her decision to attend law school. Subsequently, Katie pursued her legal studies at Hofstra University where she volunteered at the Youth Advocacy and Veterans Law clinics. Katie also actively contributed as a staff writer for the Family Court Review, achieving the notable distinction of having her article Protection or Restriction: The Detriments of Abortion Decriminalization in New York and Proposed Feticide Law published in Volume 60 of the Journal.
In 2022, Katie was admitted to the New York State Bar and since then, she has become a committed member of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association and the NYSBA Entertainment, Art and Sports Law Section. Katie has also been a contributing writer on several articles for the Attorney Professionalism Forum, published by the NYSBA Journal.
