Biography

Mr. James is a Senior Counsel of the Firm and a member of the Firm’s corporate, transactional and healthcare practice groups. He joined the Firm in 2024, after practicing in the corporate departments of two large, nationally recognized law firms, including in the Mergers & Acquisitions group of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison for over 6.5 years. He possesses more than 8 years of transactional and corporate experience representing healthcare businesses, physicians and other professionals, private equity funds and other commercial organizations. Mr. James assists clients with respect to a broad range of complex business matters, including mergers and acquisitions, the purchase and sale of healthcare facilities, physician practices and other businesses, physician practice transactions, the development and structuring of joint ventures and other business relationships, the preparation and negotiation of shareholders agreements and operating agreements, corporate formation and organization and employment agreements. Mr. James is a member of the New York State Bar Association. He is admitted to the New York Bar. Mr. James graduated from Duke University (B.A.) in 2009 and Harvard Law School (J.D.) in 2015.
